Nikon‘s new prestigious D200 is ideal for those looking for a camera to bridge the gap between the professional and the entry level Digital SLRs. The D200 delivers the incomparable quality of professional pictures whilst offering exceptional versatility, creative responsiveness, accuracy and full manual control. The D200 is the perfect camera for the semi-professional and freelancer who want an affordable SLR that integrates the right portion of diversity, quality and reliability of Nikon’s professional high-end models.
This D200 Kit includes AF-S DX VR 18-200mm 3.5-5.6G IF-ED lens, an all round 11.1x zoom lens, ideal for dedicated amateurs, and (semi-) professionals to use for countless situations and occasions, such as landscape, architecture, portrait, wedding, wildlife, holidays, expeditions and general travel photography. It is therefore also ideal for news- and press photographers. With a zoom range of 27-300mm (35mm equiv.) the user does not need to carry multiple lenses and therefore can it be seen as the perfect total package. On top of this the lens is equipped with “VR II” the second generation of Nikon’s VR technology that enables the lens to shoot 4 stops slower (instead of 3 stops with the former VR system), ideal for shooting in low light conditions and/or without a tripod. At the time of launch it is the industry’s first VR II lens with 4 stops slower shutter speed.
Nikon D3 D2x D40x D200 D300 Digital SLR Cameras video review

Nikon D2xs Nikon D60 camera http://www.microglobe.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?pName=nikon-d80 Two and a half years ago Nikon publicized the 6 megapixel Nikon D70, their first reasonable enthusiasts digital SLR, it proved to be a very well-known camera and strong competitor to the Canon EOS 300D (Digital Rebel). Just 15 months later Nikon revealed the Nikon D70s which was basically the same camera with a some subtle tweaks (improved AF, wider flash coverage, higher capacity battery, larger LCD monitor). And so just over 15 months on from the D70s Nikon present the latest incarnation of their ‘enthusiasts’ digital SLR line, the 10.2 megapixel Nikon D80.
The Nikon D80 slots nicely between the entry-level Nikon D50 and the semi-professional / professional Nikon D200, clearly based on the D70 design but also different enough to be seen as a completely new model. It features a ten megapixel DX format CCD (the same we presume as used by Sony in the DSLR-A100), the metering sensor from the D50 and numerous other items taken or modified from the D200. Nikon D2Hs and D2H are also wonderful cameras.

What is a 35mm SLR Camera? Which 35mm Camera should I get?
Posted by | Under Nikon D200 Digital SLR Thursday Jan 13, 2011I’ve always been interested in photography and have been meaning to take a class for it. I’ve recently enrolled in a photography class and it requires me to have a 35mm Single Reflex Camera (Film or Digital).
I have no idea what a 35mm Single Reflex Camera is and which to get.
Also my uncle has a Nikon D200, I believe, that I can possibly borrow. However I don’t know if that is a 35mm Camera.
If you can please recommend me a good 35mm SLR Camera within the range of $300 (give/take) or tell me if the Nikon D200 qualifies as a 35mm camera I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!!
Well if you’re new to photography you should consider purchasing an entry-level SLR camera.
I don’t think you can find a digital SLR within your $300 range, probably used somewhere online. For $500 you can get the Nikon D40 (w/ 18-55mm lens) or the Sony A200 (w/ 18-70mm lens). You can’t go wrong with either cameras.
If you’re not looking to spending that much then your uncle’s D200 is more than enough.
How do you view your camera settings (aperature, shutter, ect…) on the back lcd screen of Nikon D200?
Posted by | Under Nikon D200 Thursday Jan 13, 2011How do you view your camera settings (aperature, shutter, ect…) on the back lcd screen of Nikon D200 instead of viewing through the viewfinder or on top of the camera?
Don’t know about the D200 but my D90 has a little button labeled info that I push for, you know, Info.
Read your manual. You can download one to your computer, you can use the one you got in the box with your camera.
I have had the Camera for almost two years and I am still using the Manual to answer my questions.
Nikon D200 Camera Question?
Posted by | Under Nikon Camera D200 Thursday Jan 13, 2011Can anyone tell me how to use the self timer on the Nikon D200? I can find the option to change the length of time before the camera takes the photo in self timer mode, but cant find the self timer itself! Thanks in advance.
Look on the top of the camera. On the left hand side, there’s a dial under the QUAL/WB/ISO buttons. Push the unlock button on the top left corner, turn the dial from S to the self timer setting, which is between Ch and Mup (btw continuous high speed and mirror up).
And that’s it. Remember to set it back when you’re done!

I am selling some of my Nikon camera equipment. All the equipment is less than 3 months old and have barely been used. Besides the boxes being slightly beat up, there are no imperfections and are like brand new. I take extreme caution and care with my gear and I hope you will do the same.
All items include everything that came with them, such as manuals, gel filters, etc.
I am willing to ship using USPS if you don’t live near me, it shouldn’t cost more than a few dollars considering the items are rather small.
